With movie game tie-ins being the standard fare these days, an Avengers game should be the most obvious and lucrative adaption for any company.

Sega were planning on releasing an Avengers game, with pre-alpha gameplay footage of the superhero mash-up even making it onto the web, but the game was unfortunately cancelled, despite not looking that bad.

Marvel and Ubisoft also registered the domain name AvengersBattleforEarth.com before the film released, possibly hinting that another game could be in the works.

Either way, we now have a video featuring the new Avengers game, but it’s most probably not the one you wanted.
