In anticipation for Rockstar’s slow-mo inducing third-person shooter, a digital comic series is keeping fans busy until the game drops on Friday, 18 February.
The first issue of the three-part series, entitled ‘After the Fall’, sheds new light on Max’s life by chronicling important events throughout his life, all the way up until Max Payne 3.
The game itself takes the form of a comic-styled narrative, making a tie-in graphic novel a natural decision.
Sam Lake, the writer on the original Max Payne, and Rockstar’s Dan Houser (also penning Max Payne 3) will share the writing credits on the comic book. The series will feature cover art from comic industry vets Greg Horn and pencils/inks from Fernando Blanco.
You can download the comic in PDF format, or read it online now at Rockstar’s official site.
