Max Payne 3 arcade mode revealed

9 May 2012

Rockstar have revealed a new mode for their upcoming third-person shooter, Max Payne 3.

According to PlayFront, Arcade Mode will allow players to take on the single-player missions a second time around, but in ‘Score Attack’ or ‘New York Minute’ form.

Score Attack is all about the goal of accumulating big combos and points. Depending on how you kill enemies, respective points will be given. Bullet-time, diving, lying and other stylish kills will result in a string of points and multipliers being activated.

The ‘New York Minute Mode’ is a throwback to the original Max Payne difficulty setting, where you’ll start with only 60 seconds and require headshots to add time to the clock. The higher your medal at the end, the more XP you scoop.

Max Payne will release locally on 18 May 2012.
