Batman Arkham City Harley Quinn’s Revenge DLC info drop

15 May 2012

Harley Quinn’s Revenge is a story-driven campaign DLC for one of our favourite games of 2011 – Batman Arkham City.

The campaign will offer roughly two hours of gameplay, some new environments to explore and a new gang of thugs lead by Harley Quinn.

Without spoiling things for those yet to play the game, Harley Quinn’s revenge see’s The Joker’s crazy sidekick unleashing her plans for revenge, following the concluding events of Arkham City.

Batman returns to the vacated dystopian penitentiary of Arkham City following the trail of two kidnapped police officers. The Dark Knight then goes, well, dark.

Oracle, the cave-bound information officer, and Robin, the side-kick who needs no introduction, are both concerned about Batman’s mental health and his disappearance. So the Boy Wonder sets off to infiltrate Harley Quinn’s (Joker’s) hideout and get to the bottom of it all.

Players will therefore be able to play as Robin in the self-contained campaign – no Robin DLC from the base game required. However, players won’t be able to explore the entirety of Arkham City using Robin, as Harley Quinn’s Revenge confines us to the area of Joker’s hideout.

Batman will also be a playable character, presumably once Robin manages to rescue him from Harley’s nefarious trap.

Harley Quinn’s Revenge is scheduled for release on 30 May 2012, at a price point of 800 MS Points on Xbox 360 or US$9.99 on PlayStation 3. There’s no official mention of release for PC.

For those that have yet to pick up the truly fantastic Batman Arkham City, it may be worth waiting for the Game of the Year edition to drop in September 2012. This will include the Harley Quinn’s Revenge DLC, plus all previously released DLC – a bunch of challenge maps, character skins for the Batman, and playable characters Catwoman, Robin and Nightwing.
