Heading towards the November release of Halo 4, the sci-fi franchise will be getting a live-action series in preparation of the big launch.
The digital series will be released through a soon-to-be-announced Machinima YouTube channel.
Entitled “Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn”, the series will be produced by Microsoft which will consist of five 15-minute shorts, each telling an original story about the how Master Chief inspired a young UNSC cadet to become a leader aboard the largest UNSC vessel, the Infinity.
The character of the young cadet will tie directly into the plot of the new game. Full details about the story, cast and director will be announced at Comic Con in July.
The project marks the company’s biggest live action investment ever put towards a game, despite Microsoft getting a little greedy with a big-screen Halo adaptation deal.
The series is set to debut this October.
