PSN will allow users to pre-load upcoming games

18 May 2012

Sony have assisted in the preparation process for a future-releases by adding a new feature which will allow PSN users to pre-load soon-to-be-released games.

The new feature adds the option to use a pre-load function to download games early, with PSN unlocking the game on the launch day.

The function will mean that players don’t have to wait for PSN games to download when they’re released, and can rather get ready for a gaming session prior to the game dropping on Sony’s Playstation Network, by adding all the files to their hard-drive in advance.

The first game to utilise the function will be Sorcery, Sony’s new fantasy action game which is built around Move support.

The service is similar to that of PC’s Steam function, which allows PC gamers to pre-load games before they are released.
