Battlefield 3 Premium to bring exclusive access, content

18 May 2012

Those rumours about a Battlefield 3 subscription service? Hold onto your helmets, they’re back in the news.

This time, industry spies are claming that the service will charge a once-off fee for all DLC as well as early access to five expansions, including the previously released Back to Karkand as well as four additional expansions, scheduled to launch later this year and in March 2013.

“Battlefield Premium contains all 5 Battlefield expansion packs with early access, new camos, and exclusive in-game items for a one-time fee,” anonymous sources told Battlefieldo.

According to information leaked earlier this week, the service would feature exclusive access to “a number of content drops with unique in-game items not available anywhere else. First out is the one-of-a-kind Premium knife and black dog tag, plus a set of soldier camos, weapon camos, dog tags and Assignments that will make sure you stand out and get more personalization options.”

No official word from EA or DICE yet, though.
