JHBGamers Ghost Recon: Future Soldier launch event announced

22 May 2012

Do you live in Joburg? Do you like games? Do you like free food? If you answered yes to these questions, then keep reading. If you didn’t, I’d better get James to lock up the anti-bot security on this site.

Megarom, Ubisoft SA, and JHBGamers have teamed up to launch Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier with a big event and everybody’s invited.

It’s all happening at Café Culture at the Pineslopes shopping centre in Fourways on Thursday, 24 May, from 18:30 onwards. I threatened JHBGamers man Jarrod Lane with a loaded cupcake, and he totally blabbered the following valuable intel.

“JHBGamers has been working hard with Ubisoft and Microsoft South Africa to get the event rolling, and it’s looking to be a good one. Ubisoft has thrown in a bunch of DLC codes for the game and the first 50 people at the door get awesome branded neck scarves. MS has sponsored some Xbox Live points as well as Gold Live subs,” he sobbed in between crumb batterings.

He also said something about a “few other giveaways”, including copies of the game and goodie hamper.

Space is apparently limited, so hurry up and book your place over on 2upGamers, linked below. For some reason, the page on 2upGamers lists different details, so I assume that’s some kind of subterfuge. Either that, or my cupcake torture technique needs work.
