Max Payne 3 PC launch delayed, co-op DLC incoming

23 May 2012

Those of you looking to bring the Payne (get it?) on PC will have to wait a bit longer, because Rockstar has delayed the Max Payne 3 PC launch to 1 June. It’s only a few days, you can make it.

“Our community has always preferred a single worldwide launch date, and while we couldn’t make it happen for the console versions, we decided to work toward a global release for Max Payne 3 on PC,” said Rockstar’s Jennifer Kolbe. “Due to production and logistical issues we could not bring the European launch forward, so we worked with US retail to align with the original European launch window and set a new global release date of June 1.”

The game launched on Xbox and PS3 last week.

The studio has also confirmed, as expected, that there will be a whole lot of DLC coming in over the next few months, including a co-op add-on. The complete lineup features:

  • Max Payne 3: Local Justice Map Pack (DLC) June 2012
  • Max Payne 3: Disorganized Crime Map Pack (DLC) Summer 2012
  • Max Payne 3: Deathmatch Made In Heaven Mode Pack (DLC) Summer 2012
  • Max Payne 3: Hostage Negotiation Map Pack (DLC) Summer 2012
  • Max Payne 3: New York Minute Co-Op Pack (DLC) Summer 2012
  • Max Payne 3: Painful Memories Map Pack (DLC) Fall 2012
  • Max Payne 3: Trickle Down Economics Map Pack (DLC) Fall 2012

Now just swap “summer” with “winter” and “spring” with “fall”, and you know what’s what.
