Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City extended with new DLC

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City’s upcoming DLC will provide some new game content to add that little bit extra to Slant Six’s take on the Resident Evil tactical shooter spin-off.

The new DLC, titled ‘The Echo Six Expansion Pack 2″ will include three new Spec Ops missions and three new multiplayer maps for the game.

The upcoming Spec Ops add-on missions are titled “Missions 5-7”, leading one to assume that they follow-on from the current existing missions.

Players will play on the “good” side, taking control of the Special Ops team, who will have to help series’ favourite Claire Redfield and Sherry Birkin, while fending off the Umbrella troops, zombies, Tyrants and other mutated creatures.

This is the second DLC of the add-on campaign, as the first Echo Six Expansion Pack 1 launched in April, and chronicled the Missions numbered 2-4.

No details on a release date for Pack 2, and no confirmation on whether or not the DLC will eventually make its way to PC players. Right now, it has only been announced for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and is priced at 800 MSP or $10 (R84.48*).
