WWE 13 announced

29 May 2012

Publisher, THQ and developer, Yuke’s Yokohama have announced that WWE 13 will be hitting Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii on 2 November 2012 (SA, Europe), 1 November 2012 (APAC) and 30 October 2012 (North America).

Following the direction set by the television show, WWE 13 will feature CM Punk as its cover star. Long-time fans may recall the Attitude era of WWE, and this will feature prominently in the single player experience of WWE 13, featuring eight legendary WWE superstars like Stone Cold Steve Austin.

THQ promises an invigorated WWE experience with enhancements to core mechanics developed for WWE 12 as well as some new features.

WWE Live will supposedly recreate the thrill of a live WWE event through “Spectacular Moments”, a new audio and video system with improved commentary, and crowd participation.

WWE Universe is back, and players will be able to create their own wrestler and guide them through a career to become a WWE champion.

The Predator animation technology introduced in WWE 12 has been upgraded to version 2.0, promising new animations, transitions, and improved controls.

As always, players will be able to greatly customise their characters, existing WWE Superstars, entrance videos, arenas, finishing moves, storyline, highlight reels and more. Players will also be able to share and download their creations with others.

We can probably expect more details to come out of the E3 expo, which is almost upon us.
