Bethesda have released a trailer for the upcoming Dawnguard DLC expansion to their award-winning open-world RPG, Skyrim, as well as slapped an expected arrival period to the vampirific expansion.
The Dawnguard add-on introduces a host of new areas, characters, enemies and weapons. Crossbows, new snow-based creatures, and most notably, vampires, will make up the bulk of the DLC, with new quests and missions to engage with.
This confirms the rumours surrounding the hidden folder found in a recent Skyrim update file.
The DLC will also make use of the update which added mounted combat, as the trailer shows the character horsing around with some alive and zombified ponies.
For now, the add-on is exclusive to Xbox 360, although the exclusivity is only extended to 30 days, meaning that PS3 and PC gamers should expect the DLC a month after the 360 release.
Dawnguard is said to arrive in “summer” (therefore around Q3/Q4 2012) and will cost 1600 MSP (around R172).
Bethesda will undoubtedly be showing off the new DLC at E3 next week.
