Assassin’s Creed: Liberation announced for PS Vita

6 June 2012

In addition to Assassin’s Creed III having a stellar showing at E3, Ubisoft have also announced Assassin’s Creed: Liberation for the PS Vita.

The upcoming portable iteration will see a brand new story and game in the series and won’t be a port of any sort, being built specifically for the Playstation handheld.

Gamers will finally get to jump into the boots of a female assassin, as the new heroine, Aveline, will be star of the show.

Liberation is set in New Orleans during the 18th Century, where the city is on the brink of a rebellion against the Spanish Empire.

Expect more throat-stabbing, diving into haystacks and impaling enemies, but with a feminine touch.
