Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance has gone from being an obscure spin-off to one of the most exciting games at this year’s E3.
After the over-the-top insanity that the pre-E3 trailer brought, Platinum Games have given a gameplay demonstration of the upcoming hyper-fast Metal Gear entry.
The preview shows pure gameplay footage showing off many of the features the game has to offer, most notably the precision cutting mechanic and ninja-run ability, which allows Raiden to run up and over objects with the push of a button.
Platinum Games highlight that the goal for Rising was to allow players to actually do the things that gamers could only watch in cutscenes in previous Metal Gear games.
The game is slated for an early 2013 release period, and Konami have confirmed that the game is currently playable at E3.
Being developed by Platinum Games (Vanquish, Bayonetta), MGR: Revengeance is set to up-the-ante in terms of action for the series.
