After seeing its E3 reveal video, you’d be hard pressed to believe that Watch Dogs is a game in development for the current generation of consoles. But unless the next generation of consoles is arriving next year, it is. I mean, it’s a game in development for the current generation of consoles, not that the next generation of consoles is arriving next year.
You know what I mean.
Anyway, according to whoever is in charge of the official Watch Dogs Twitter account – and it’s not unreasonable to assume that’s Ubisoft – the game “will be released in 2013 and will be on released on PC and consoles”.
Note that “consoles” isn’t qualified with “current generation consoles”, but that’s what I was saying earlier about the next generation of consoles arriving next year.
Apparently Ubisoft Montreal producer Dominic Guay told CVG that there will be Xbox and PS3 versions of the game “for sure”, although he didn’t say whether that would be in addition to next generation console versions.
You know, I’m just going to stop right there before this gets too confusing.
