Two Guys From Andromeda need help to make their Kickstarter target

11 June 2012

Just over a month ago, original Space Quest creators Mark Crowe and Scott Murphy – AKA the Two Guys From Andromeda – launched a Kickstarter campaign for a new “sci-fi comedy adventure game” called SpaceVenture, that presumably wasn’t called Space Quest 7 because of licensing issues and/or because it doesn’t actually have Roger Wilco in it.

It’s back in the news today because at the time of writing there’s just over 28 hours left before the campaign closes, and they don’t yet have their targeted $500,000 buckazoids in the bank. They are sitting just shy at $472,115.

If they don’t make their money, there’s a pretty good chance the entire planet will be overrun with orats, and everybody will be devoured. You don’t want that sort of thing on your conscience, now do you? Besides, it’s probably much easier to just pledge $10 than try to locate an adequate supply of dehydrated water or Sarien Spider Droids in the short time remaining.

Go over to the SpaceVenture Kickstarter page and do your bit for the future of humanity, and get a free Labion Terror Beast Mating Whistle*.

Promised features include:

  • A sci-fi adventure from Scott Murphy and Mark Crowe working happily together as a team once again.
  • Hilarious death sequences
  • Tons of the fresh (and moldy) pop-culture references
  • Fun and unique humor
  • Art design and direction by Mark
  • Dialogue that will make you blow nostril Tang, written by Scott along with Mark
  • Narration of all this by Gary Owens and the voice acting of other characters by the above mentioned quality industry voice talent
  • Game music that will hopefully give you chills and wedge in your main orb for the rest of your natural Earth life and make you wish you lived inside your computer!
  • A game that you will feel comfortable playing with your children, but with some entertainment that will safely appeal only to the adult psyche

*There’s no such thing as a free Labion Terror Beast Mating Whistle.
