Xbox Live iPhone and Android app revamped

Microsoft have enhanced their Xbox 360 iOS and Android app with a few improvements and new features to make your phone-to-360 experience a bit smoother.

The My Xbox LIVE app for iPhone allows you to control content with the device by playing, pausing and fast forwarding certain video content on the console.

The app also shows a list of recent activity that took place on the console.

The iPad version of the app is getting a makeover, now providing the function of access to the Xbox Live community when you’re away from your console, along with retina display support and a more streamlined authentication process between your console and tablet.

And for the first time, My Xbox LIVE app will now be downloadable for Android phones, which will let you read and send messages to friends, manage the friends list, view achievements, and edit your Xbox Live profile and avatar.

Just to clarify, this isn’t the SmartGlass update which was revealed at E3 and set to launch sometime soon.
