Ratchet & Clank Trilogy cranks out a release date

Sony have officially confirmed the release date of Insomniac’s resurrection of last generation’s Ratchet and Clank trilogy, with the full HD collection coming in on 27 June 2012.

The Ratchet & Clank Trilogy will feature fully remastered version of the PS2 classics, namely Ratchet & Clank, Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, and Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal on one single Blu-Ray disc.

Idol Minds, known for their work on the PSN ragdoll game PAIN, are behind the remastering, which will bring HD support, higher frame rates, stereoscopic 3D and additional Playstaton Network features such as trophy support.

This follows the other HD collections which are celebrating some of the best series from yesteryear, like the Sly Cooper, Jak & Daxter, and God of War series, along with the recent ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection.
