Snoop Dogg’s Tekken music video unleashes silliness

A little while ago, we reported on Snoop Dogg’s rather surprising inclusion in the upcoming Tekken Tag Tournament 2, which is heading to consoles having been in Japanese arcades for quite some time now.

Snoop D-O-double-G will not only make a cameo appearance, but has also recorded a song for the game.

The official music video is finally here, and whether you care for his music or not, the video is full of Tekken gameplay, Snoop flailing his hands and some impromptu kung-fu.

“Knock ‘em Down”, which really is as Tekken-themed a song and video can get, also shows that mid-game physical violence doesn’t break the Doggfather’s concentration on the game.

Players who pre-order the game will receive “early access” to the level, which features Snoop upon a massive throne, surrounded by some hip-hop lady-companions, as usual.

“We are big fans of Snoop Dogg and are proud to welcome him to the Tekken franchise,” said Katsuhiro Harada, Tekken Project Director. “The content we created with Snoop Dogg and the song he made for the game allows Tekken fans to experience the legendary hip-hop star in a unique way and blend both Eastern and Western cultures like never before.”

Snibbidy-dibbidy, ya’ll.
