Mike Tyson knocks out WWE 13

Rumours surrounding a secret addition to the WWE 13 roster have solidified, in the form of Iron Mike.

That’s right, Mike Tyson, the legendary heavyweight champion boxer, will be making an appearance in this year’s instalment in the long-spanning WWE franchise as a pre-order DLC.

Mike Tyson will be a playable character in WWE 13, with his own set of moves, taunts and special finishers, barring his signature ear-nibble.

Other part-time movie “stars” will also be returning to the franchise, with Stone Cold Steve Austin making a long-awaited re-appearance in this year’s edition.

THQ promises an invigorated WWE experience with enhancements to core mechanics developed for WWE 12 as well as some new features.

WWE Live will supposedly recreate the thrill of a live WWE event through “Spectacular Moments”, a new audio and video system with improved commentary, and crowd participation.

The Predator animation technology introduced in WWE 12 has been upgraded to version 2.0, promising new animations, transitions, and improved controls.

Publisher, THQ and developer, Yuke’s Yokohama have announced that WWE 13 will be hitting Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii on 2 November 2012 (SA, Europe).

    Hmmm, Iron Mike in WWE 13? His acting skills certainly fit the bill, and he can throw real punches!

    I just hope they fix the crappy controls from WWE 12…
