Free CS:GO beta servers with server pre-orders

19 June 2012

Gameservers.com is offering free Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) servers for the duration of the beta period to those who rent CS:GO servers from them.

By extension, MWEB GameZone is offering the same deal, as they are the official GamerServers.com partner in South Africa.

Private servers start at R68.36 per month for a 10-player minimum, with additional slots at R6.79 each, which can up the maximum players to 30.

Public servers start at R85.55 per month for the 10-player mimimun, with additional slots at R8.51 each, pushing the maximum up to 30-players.

The billing period will begin on the game release date, and the beta server will be provided for free until then.

Some of the CS:GO Gameservers.com features include: Instant Activation, Free Website, No Setup Fees, Cancel Anytime, 5-Day Refund Guarantee.

MWEB GameZone has previously announced that they have two live CS: GO servers – each one located in the respective Johannesburg and Cape Town data-centres. This should be good news for lucky locals who have managed to secure access to the closed beta testing period, as international latency is not ideal for fast-paced FPS’s.

CS: GO is pegged to launch on Windows PC, Mac OS X, Xbox 360 (via XBLA) and PS3 (via PSN). Although originally planned for cross-platform play between PC and Xbox 360, the idea has been shelved due to the technicality of such a system.
