The Witcher 2 DRM-free backups – only 10 days left!

The Witcher 2

A little while ago, CD Projekt RED announced that the company will promise a free backup copy of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings for all PC all users, no matter when or where you bought it, digital or otherwise.

Once people buy a game, they shouldn’t have to buy it again, the developer reasoned.

The backup copy will be the most complete digital version, too. Not to mention the free content and updates that make up the upcoming PC version of the Enhanced Edition.

So if you already own a copy of The Witcher 2 and are interested in playing the new enhanced version, then this is a no-brainer.

Just head over to and enter your game key, and you will be given a DRM-free full version of the Witcher 2 Enhanced to keep in your GOG account free of charge.

Note you only have until 11:59 PM GMT on 30 June 2012 to register your copy for the digital backup.

For those who have lost their key, or have trouble redeeming it, head on over to The Witcher 2 Backup webpage.
