Lingerie Football League game in the works

After losing the UFC license to EA, Yuke’s has decided to put the man-on-man fury down for a little bit and focus on something a little more feminine: lingerie football.

The UFC: Undisputed and WWE video game developer has snagged the rights to create games based on the Lingerie Football League.

“This is one of those milestone moments for the LFL further establishing itself as a mainstream sports and entertainment property,” said Mitchell S. Mortaza, founder and chairman of the LFL, in a statement.

“We at Yuke’s feel that there is incredible momentum building behind the LFL and that the sport is perfectly positioned to become the next big franchise in the gaming world,” said Yuke’s CEO Yukinori Taniguchi in a statement on the LFL’s website.

Yuke’s did not provide details on platforms, release date or a potential publisher. The studio’s previous titles based on UFC and WWE were published by THQ, who are enduring some financial troubles of their own, after recently announcing the planned Saints Row 3 expansion was cancelled and would now contribute towards the next game in the series.

Yuke’s are hoping to capture the “intensity, speed, beauty and on-the-field action of LFL football” for gamers and fans alike.

There’s not much more to say.

And if you have no idea what Lingerie Football is, well, here’s a video:
