While most empty threats on the internet are forgotten pretty quickly, one particular Minecraft player stupidly followed through on his claims.
The gamer became irate after he was kicked from a Minecraft online chat by a moderator, 16-year old Jacob Neumann.
Jacob traumatically recollected the kicked players response. “He was like, ‘Yo dude. You kicked me off line. I’m going to swat your house'” said Jacob.
And that’s exactly what he did, as the upset player contacted the police through anonymous TTY texts, saying that he was hiding in the bathroom after his father had killed his 14-year old sister.
The irritated player then gave the address of the Neumann household, sending four different law-enforcement agencies to the premises.
The Neumann family were confused, as Dave Neumann, was handcuffed and put to the ground as SWAT stormed the house.
After the chaos had settled, and the police realised Neumann didn’t even have a daughter, his son Jacob had a Horatio moment and pieced the faux-crime together.
Working out that the disgruntled player did in fact call the police as he said he would, authorities traced the messages and found that they originate from a Canadian resident.
No news on the the repercussions of the uber-troll have been released.
