After two delays and a June launch in North America, Saber Interactive and Namco’s third-person man-shooter Inversion will finally be deploying everywhere else on the planet next month. That’s 13 July for Xbox and PS3, and 27 July on PC, assuming there won’t be a third delay.
If you’ve been waiting your entire life to shoot bad guys while walking up the side of a building (and you didn’t already play Dead Space), pay attention.
Set sometime in the not too distant future, Earth – or, more specifically, a place on Earth called Vanguard City – is invaded by (what else, really?) a hostile alien force known only as the Lutadore, whose idiomatic hostile alien invader thing is gravity-manipulation technology. Not to be confused with the Mexican wrestling Luchador, who wear spandex and silly masks.
According to the game’s blurb, “mysterious anomalies have surfaced in conjunction with the invasion”, which will presumably thwart your efforts to do whatever the plot wants you to do. Dramatic music, etc.
