If there’s one thing you can always rely on, it’s internal marketing information about upcoming games being leaked to the public. The game industry just wouldn’t be the same without it, and that’s why we now know what we know about Halo 4’s new features. Thank you, anonymous and unscrupulous employee who probably works at GameStop for minimum wage.
According to the data pushed out via Microsoft’s private ExpertZone retailer portal, Halo 4 will add 10 new weapons, 2 new vehicles to the series, as well as 50 free Spartan Ops campaign missions that will be released over a period of ten weeks subsequent to the game’s launch in November 2012.
“It’s like getting two campaigns with one game!”, squeals the blurb.
The game will also include 10 multiplayer maps at launch, and “new multiplayer game modes”. Additional maps are promised as DLC add-ons, although that probably goes without saying. Interestingly enough, there’s also something described as “improved support to create organize and track groups”, suggesting a more formal clan format.
Halo 4 is out on 6 November.
