A DLC scheduled to arrive after the launch of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD will bring back the series-favourite revert.
The revert was used as a bridging move between tricks and manuals to keep combos rolling.
The revert move will only work with the upcoming DLC, and not the core THPS HD game. Activision said that the reason for this is that “reverts were introduced in THPS3 and the levels were designed accordingly.”
The $5 (around R40) DLC pack will add the Airport level from THPS3, as well as two other unannounced locations.
The full downloadable game will not be an HD porting of the original Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, but rather a blend of levels from the first two instalments, remade in a brand new engine designed for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
Confirmed playable characters include Tony Hawk, Chris Cole, Eric Koston, Nyjah Huston, Andrew Reynolds, Rodney Mullen, Lyn-z Adams Hawkins (Pastrana), and Tony’s son Riley Hawk.
