NiGHTS into Dreams getting the HD treatment

6 July 2012

Sega were teasing it the other day with cryptic tweets and a Facebook image, but now the publisher has officially revealed that legendary Sega Saturn game, NiGHTS into Dreams, will be getting an HD remake this year.

Sega digital vice president Chris Olson said: “The Sega Saturn offered many unique gaming experiences, and NiGHTS into dreams stands out as one of the most recognisable titles that found a home on the system.

“We’ve gotten a lot of requests about this game over the years, and are very happy to be able to give both former Saturn owners and new players a chance to play it in its most beautiful form to date this autumn.”

As expected, the game will feature vastly improved visuals in 16:9, leader-boards, trophies, achievements and even an optional mode that allows you to hop back in time and experience NiGHTS into Dreams as it looked originally on the Sega Saturn.

NiGHTS into Dreams HD will be hitting PC, Xbox Live, and the PSN, although no concrete release date has been given.
