Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 delayed

City Interactive’s head-shooting sequel will not hit it’s planned release date of 21 August.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2’s launch date has now been shifted to 9 October, making the title fall into the Q4 release period, alongside other big holiday season releases.

No reason was given for the delay, although Namco Bandai probably want some more time for City Interactive to tie up any loose ends.

With the recent Sniper Elite V2, and the upcoming Sniper: Ghost Warrior sequel, scope-junkies are definitely getting their fair-share of sniping action this year.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, which is running on CryEngine 3, will see gamers heading into the deep, dangerous jungles of Burma to seek out weapons of mass destruction which are changing hands through shady deals. You are the lone sniper sent to intercept these dodgy doings by any means necessary. Because what would any military game be without shooting baddies in the face and saving the day?
