If there’s one thing you can rely on when it comes to an all-out, intergalactic war between machines and not-machines, it’s that it’s probably going to go on a bit. I mean, you can only beat a machine for as long as it takes to reset the CMOS, and I bet the Reapers have backups in the cloud anyway. The point is, we can probably expect a lot more Mass Effect 3 DLC before it’s over. If it’s ever over. How many times can we take back Earth before it becomes a self-perpetuating cycle?
So following the launch last month of the Extended Cut DLC, fans discovered evidence of a future DLC add-on starring a rogue reaper named Leviathan. Turns out, it’s a real thing that’s actually happening – voice actor Anthony Skordi has confirmed the DLC to Eurogamer.
SPOILERS AHEAD!
According to the data extracted from the Extended Cut, the DLC has Shepard is off on a rescue mission at a Reaper-indoctrinated mining facility, where he encounters Leviathan. As a result of the mission, Shepard can recruit the defector to the good guys’ side in the battle against Megatron and the evil Decepticons. Wait, I think I might have mixed things up there.
No launch date yet, though.
