Deadpool video game revealed at Comic Con

With High Moon Studios recently revealing that the developer is working on a video game adaptation for the off-beat comic series, Hit Monkey, the studio has also now revealed that their secretive project with Marvel is, in fact, a Deadpool game.

The smart-mouthed anti-hero has made a number of cameos in other games, but it’s now his time to step into the limelight with his over-the-top violence and snappy one-liners.

Besides the fact that Nolan North (Uncharted, Spec Ops: The Line) will voice Deadpool – as he did in a number of animated iterations – not too much else is known about the game.

The teaser trailer delivers what you’d expect from a Deadpool game – lots of gore, jokes and breaking of the fourth wall, as Deadpool will talk to the player and narrate his own action as he takes on multiple soon-to-be-headless soldiers.

The game is slated for release in 2013, although no specific dates have been revealed.
