Epic Games has finally revealed the exact release date for Gears of War: Judgment at San Diego Comic Con, along with releasing an entertaining tutorial video starring Baird, centered around the OverRun multiplayer mode.
First things first, Gears of War: Judgment will be released exclusively for Xbox 360 on 19 March 2013.
In terms of the multiplayer details revealed, OverRun is best described as a hybrid cross between Gears’ Horde mode and Beast mode multiplayer modes. In this mode players will be able to choose from four classes – Engineer, Soldier, Medic and Scout – while they try to defend COG structures as the other group of players lead an onslaught as Locust characters ranging from the Ticker to the Mauler. Each character has it’s own special abilities and attacks.
The tutorial video is narrated by Damon Baird himself, as the most loved/hated Gears soldier walks us through the basics of OverRun from both sides, detailing the overall gameplay and the characters used in the all-new multiplayer mode.
