Incredible Connection launching micro-form e-stores

18 July 2012

Incredible Connection (IC) will on 26th July launch the first of its new micro-format e-stores in Vredenburg on the West Coast.

The new format e-stores, only 80 square metres in size, will be supported by an e-commerce offering aimed at outlying areas and small towns in order to provide those customers access to a wide range of technology.

“Although the new e-store will have a full online offering, we understand our customers’ need for personal contact – hence the provision of product demonstrations, technical support and after sales service. This store is the first step towards offering expert advice and service to our customers in remote areas,” said Marco van Niekerk, CEO of Incredible Connection.

According to van Niekerk the size of the store would be limited with only key categories on display. However, the range of available products would not be restricted as the model relies on customers ordering online. Incredible Connection will also offer technical back-up support.

“The e-Stores are part of Incredible Connection’s plan to increase its national footprint and consolidate its position as South Africa’s leading consumer technology retailer. The company plans to roll out more stores by the end of the year,” he said.
