Angry Birds coming to Samsung Smart TVs

20 July 2012

If being on your consoles and in your pocket wherever you go wasn’t enough, everyone’s favourite avian-flinging game is heading to yet another platform.

Samsung have announced that Angry Birds will be making its way to their range of Smart TVs, with motion-control capabilities in-hand.

The game will launch on Samsung LED sets with models numbers of 7500 or higher, in addition to plasma sets with model number 8000 or higher. The download will be free, likely with ads to provide a monetary stream to Rovio and Samsung.

Using the TV range’s motion control technology, players will be able to aim and pull their bird filled-slingshots with the wave of a hand.

Launching worldwide this month, the Angry Birds app for Samsung Smart TV will launch through the Samsung Apps TV store.
