SteelSeries, a leading manufacturer of premium-quality, competitive gaming peripherals, has announced a partnership with Megarom Interactive, South African importer and distributor of interactive video games, peripherals and accessories.
Megarom will carry SteelSeries’ full product line including: award-winning headsets, mice, keyboards, and surfaces, as well as exclusive, co-branded publisher products for titles such as World of Warcraft, Diablo III, Guild Wars II, and more.
Based in Fourways, Johannesburg, South Africa, Megarom Interactive is one of South Africa’s leading interactive video game importers and distributors of video games for all major gaming platforms including PC, PlayStation and Xbox 360. In late 2011, the company added a peripherals division and continues to build out its gaming footprint across the region.
“We chose to partner with Megarom, because of their positive and growing reputation within their region and their specialized distribution of gaming software from all of the leading publishers that we also work closely with,” said Flemming Gyldenhammer, Regional Sales Manager for SteelSeries. “Megarom will be our second distribution partner in this region, and for us that illustrates the demand for premium gaming peripherals in the South African market; a demand that we look forward to fulfilling.”
“SteelSeries consistently delivers highly desirable products to the market, in fact many of us at Megarom use SteelSeries as our preferred gaming peripheral brand and have first-hand experience of the amazing range, so the choice to partner with them was natural,” said Megarom CEO, Philip Court. “Their co-licensed peripherals line fit within our business; we already distribute many of the top games in South Africa, such as Diablo III, Guild Wars 2, and World of Warcraft, to name a few. We are very proud to bring a brand of this quality and reputation to South African gamers.”
SteelSeries products will be available soon through retailer partners of Megarom Interactive in South Africa.
