DayZ user base grows to over 900,000

1 August 2012

One of the most popular PC mods of the moment is DayZ, and the zombie-survival spin-off has now garnered a jaw-dropping community base.

Over 900,000 users play DayZ, a significant jump from the 500,000 a month ago.

The DayZ mod adds a zombie apocalypse survival mode to the military shooter ArmA II, and has ignited the game’s sales since the mod was released.

DayZ has created such a demand that it’s looking to get it’s own full DayZ retail release, so that everyone can get in on the zombie-killing action.
