After weeks of rumours, speculation, and leaked dialogue scripts that pretty much confirmed it anyway, BioWare has officially announced that, yes, the Mass Effect 3 Leviathan DLC is a real thing and it’s launching soon.
The DLC adds a new single-player campaign set amid the events of the main game, that sees Shepard and his team working to discover the truth of the “most closely guarded secret in the galaxy” – the recipe for KFC. Wait, no, I read that wrong – it’s something about the origins of the Reapers.
“Something lurks in the dark corners of space, something powerful enough to kill a Reaper,” reads the blurb over on BioWare’s blog. “Shepard must discover the most closely guarded secret in the galaxy before the Reapers silence it forever. Discover more about the origins of the Reapers as you race across the galaxy to find the Leviathan. Unravel the dark history of the Reaper Race before it is too late.”
New locations, people, and guns included, obviously.
Leviathan launches for PC, PS3, and Xbox later this year and will be priced at $10 / 800 MSP, respectively. KFC Twisters sold separately.
