Skyrim reviewed by comedian Conan O’Brien

3 August 2012

In his latest Clueless Gamer segment, comedic talk show host Conan O’Brien got down with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim to find out what being a Khajiit is all about. Turns out, it’s mostly chasing chickens, hunting woolly mammoths, and getting into trouble with the law to try and impress a lady. So, it’s pretty much exactly like being a regular person then.

“I don’t know much about video games, I don’t even particularly like video games, I never play them,” he says in the introduction. “And for all those reasons, I’ve decided to review them and rate them.”

That sounds about right.

On a scale of 1 to 166 (166 being “fairly average, 1 being “fairly average”, anything in the 80s being “fairly average”, and 17 being “really good”), O’Brien scores Skyrim at 44XXXIVIV, although it’s hard to believe Ysolda’s spurning of his advances didn’t perhaps bias his opinion of the game somewhat unfairly. On the other hand, being outrageously biased is also just part of a game reviewer’s job, so there’s also that.
