If you had planned to get into CCP’s EVE spinoff Dust 514 when it launches later this year, you’d better hand in your job resignation and start stockpiling canned food. Maybe dump your girlfriend/boyfriend, and if you’ve got kids, I’d suggest dropping them off at an orphanage. According to the developer, it’ll take you seven years to max out every skill in the game.
That’s 49 dog years, 58 chicken years, more than 1200 fly years, and seven years of your life that you’ll never get back, but so what. Also, yes, fly years are a thing.
The free-to-play PS3 and PS Vita exclusive FPS will reportedly ship out with thousands of unlockable character skills on the disc, including passive abilities that increase over time even when you’re not actually playing the game. It’s like Progress Quest, except… wait no, it’s exactly like Progress Quest.
No release date has been confirmed yet, but consider cancelling your plans anyway. You won’t need them where you’re going.
