It’s just over a month to the Borderlands 2 launch, and you’re stuck at work putting cover sheets on TPS reports instead of rootin’, tootin’, and six-gun skag shootin’. There’s an app for that! As part of the Borderlands 2 marketing campaign, Gearbox has dropped a free browser-based version of the, uh, “original” Borderlands to keep you busy. That’s the original 16-bit version from 1989, of course.
Okay, so technically it didn’t exist before yesterday, but that’s not the point. Besides, if you believe in something hard enough, it becomes real. It’s true because I read it somewhere on the internet.
“Borderlands wasn’t always the slick, handsome bastard of a game it is today! Go old skool and play the 1989 16-bit original to see how it all began,” said Borderlands robostar, Claptrap. “I can’t believe how young I look!”
I can’t believe how old I feel. ;___;
Remember to read all of our Borderlands 2 coverage every single day to keep that hype dial maxed out.
