While every game borrows ideas and concepts from another, copying a fan-favourite map is downright criminal, and a new free-to-play shooter has done just that.
Arctic Combat’s map called Sand Storm is uncannily similar to that of Counter Strike’s “dust2”, featuring all the iconic areas and locations that made the original such a hit.
Anyone who’s ever played Counter Strike knows the map “dust”. An improved version, “dust2”, was released and is one of the most synonymous elements of Valve’s multiplayer shooter.
There are a few small differences however, such as some crates placed in different positions and dimension changes, but the instantly recognisable look and layout is too apparent to overlook.
Arctic Combat is currently in closed beta (until Valve find out).
