2Mbps uncapped ADSL account launched: Web Africa

27 August 2012

Web Africa has launched a 2Mbps uncapped ADSL service, priced at R299, in preparation for Telkom’s ADSL speed upgrades which are currently under way.

Telkom started to upgrade all its 1Mbps ADSL subscribers to 2Mbps on Friday in a process which is expected to take a few weeks.

The higher ADSL speeds mean that uncapped ADSL subscribers will have to upgrade their current account if they want to take advantage of the higher speeds.

The 2Mbps uncapped ADSL pricing from Web Africa is in line with the price from other Internet Service Providers (ISPs).

The following table provides an overview of the price of 2Mbps uncapped ADSL accounts from prominent service providers.
