Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes brings back Old Snake

30 August 2012

At Kojima’s Metal Gear 25th Anniversary presentation, the legendary game designer unveiled Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes.

Kojima was expected to show off the much talked-about Fox engine, and to do that, he revealed a playable demonstration of an open-world MGS experience.

It wasn’t specified whether this is a new Metal Gear Solid game, or purely a tech demo, although, attendees were pretty much convinced it’s the next MGS title.

While the attendees were not allowed to take photos, reports on Twitter flowed-in, and users said the demo started with a real-time cutscene that went straight into gameplay. It showed off the open world level with Snake killing guards, evading search lights by crawling, and riding around in a Jeep. The demo was reportedly running on a PC.

Could Ground Zeroes be the curtained Metal Gear Solid 5? Are you excited for another MGS experience?
