Borderlands 2 season pass announced

30 August 2012

Borderlands 2 isn’t even out for another three weeks or so, but – surprise! – there are already DLC add-ons planned and in development. Four DLC add-ons, mind you, and you can already pre-order them with one of those season pass things that are all the rage these days.

According to Kotaku, Gearbox has confirmed that a $30 (around R250) season pass will include four DLC add-ons, presumably saving you a bit off the cost of buying them separately. Although none of the DLC add-ons have actually been revealed yet, the first Borderlands game featured several pretty decent expansions post-launch but whether or not that’s a reliable precedent is entirely up to you.

Or, you know, you could just wait six months for the inevitable GOTY edition and get all the DLC for free on the disc.
