According to a rumour post over on Nintendo Life, the Wii U will be shipping out in North America on 11 November 2012, with an entry level price of US$249.99 (±R2,100).
There are three products listed however:
WIIU SYSTEM – GM – 11/11/12 $249.99
WIIU SYSTEM W/ – GM – 11/11/12 $299.99
WIIU SYSTEM 349 W/ – GM – 11/11/12 $349.99
NintendoLife theorises that these may be bundles with games and extra controllers.
The info apparently comes via Video Product Distributors (VPD) who count among their clients Amazon, Blockbuster, and Overstock. By way of evidence, we have a YouTube user who logged into the VPD site and recorded their perusal of the products.
Firmly in rumour country for now until Nintendo decides to make things official. I’m off to find some popcorn for all of this salt.
