Naughty Dog have released a 15-minute gameplay video of The Last of Us, further detailing the horror-filled future plagued by a fungal pandemic which wipes out most of humanity.
The gameplay is part of the same segment shown at E3 2012 in June, although seeing the part played a second time shows how events can evolve differently and alternative choices can be made to how the player approaches certain situations.
“This demo highlights narrative exploration through interactive prompts, environmental puzzles, the balance of power AI, and some of the dynamic stealth elements you’ll be able to use to plan Joel and Ellie’s survival”, said Naughty Dog community strategist Eric Monacelli.
“How many resources are at your disposal? Do you go offensive or defensive? You’ll have to keep calm, think, and rely on your partner, Ellie, as you survive and make your way westward.”
The dynamic elements in the gameplay are also showcased excellently, along with the jaw-dropping visuals and silky-smooth animations.
The Last of Us is expected to drop in the first half of 2013, and if you want to know more about Joel and Ellie, check out more The Last of Us coverage.
