ARMA devs arrested for spying

Two employees of Bohemia Interactive have been arrested and accused for allegedly spying on the Greek island of Lemnos.

The devs claim that they were researching and gathering reference material for their upcoming game, ARMA III, which is set on the same island.

The two had taken photos and video of military installations on the island, and the local authorities weren’t too pleased.

Bohemia Interactive’s CEO and co-founder Marek Spanel has since confirmed the arrest on the studio’s forums.

“This is true. We prefer this topic not to be discussed on our forums atm, at least until we know more specific details about the case so I am going to close this topic and our moderators are going to close any related discussion here, thank you for understanding”, said Spanel.

If you’re less interested in the staff issues and more interested in their game, ARMA III is set to be released sometime in 2013.
