Just in case the next Call of Battlefield isn’t enough murder simulator for you, Kotkin Enterprises’ Delta Six might be just what you’re looking for – it’s a console controller that looks like a real gun.
The ultra-realistic controller features a built-in accelerometer and sight for aiming, as well as force feedback recoil, and you reload it by ejecting and reinserting a plastic magazine. It’s like practice for that mall rampage you’ve been planning all these years, or at least, that’s what they’ll say in the tabloids.
With add-on accessories like optics, stocks, and grips, the controller can be reconfigured to resemble a submachine gun, assault rifle, or even a sniper rifle, although you’ll probably have to supply your own ghillie suit and teabag spikes.
“We’re more excited about Delta Six than any other project to date. The Wii, and the Move tried but could not make a fun and innovative motion control for FPS games. So we had to,” said inventor David Kotkin. “This is fun for adults, not for gamers younger than 21.”
No release date has been confirmed yet, although the Delta Six will reportedly launch at $89 (around R750). In the meantime, here’s an unintentionally terrible video trailer featuring typos and awkward live action acting:
