That Mass Effect film adaptation that’s been in the works for more than four years already? It’s basically being started over, after Legendary Entertainment decided to dump the old writer and hire a new one.
Mark Protosevich (Thor, I Am Legend, The Cell) was originally on script duty, but has been replaced with Morgan Davis Foehl, a writer who doesn’t have any real credits to his name but is apparently a big Mass Effect fan.
BioWare co-founders Greg Zeschuk and Ray Muzyka were also attached to the project as executive producers when Legendary acquired the film rights in 2008, but now that they’ve quit their jobs at the studio it’s anybody’s guess what’s going on.
No cast has been confirmed yet, although I’m totally voting for Steve Buscemi as Commander Shepard.
