Black Ops 2 leaked to torrents

And in news nobody could have predicted, Call of Duty: Black Ops II has been leaked to the torrents more than a week ahead of its official launch. Honestly, we might as well pre-fab these articles at the beginning of the year, and automate the publishing for one week prior to any major game release.

Videos of the game running on Xbox have been turning up online for several days already, featuring both campaign and zombie mode gameplay.

Although Activision has declined comment, Treyarch game design director David Vonderhaar has apparently adopted a “meh, whatever” attitude about it.

“If you are going to live-stream the game early, which I don’t remotely recommend, you could at least be good at it,” he said on Twitter, subtly reminding people that, one, playing games on Xbox before they’re actually out is a quick way to get yourself permanently banned from Xbox LIVE and two, you all suck.

For everybody else, Black Ops II is out next Tuesday, 13 November. In the meantime, make sure you’ve read EVERYTHING we’ve written about Black Ops 2, because there will be a quiz and anybody who fails will be shipped off to a classified location for treatment. You don’t want to know what that is.
